             Worship on the Hill
 
Light of the Hill offers a variety of music, images, and worship experiences at its 9:00 am and 10:30 am services each Sunday.
 
The 9:00 Worship and Celebration service is more contemporary led primarily by Psalm 150, our praise and worship band. Other groups offering musical gifts at this service include Exodus, Glory Fire, and Anthem Choir. Communion is offered the first Sunday of each month.  Members of our congregation also serve as Acolyte, Lay Reader, Children's Moment Leader, Communion Servers, Ushers and Greeters.

The 10:30 service is a little more traditional in style and format, and offers open communion every Sunday. The Anthem Choir and other groups and individuals offer their musical gifts periodically.
 
Nursery care is provided for both services.

Under the direction of our Music Director, Sarah Sleight, the Music Ministry at Light of the Hill provides the opportunity for children, youth, and adults to develop and share their musical gifts.  There is a place for everyone to lift up his or her voice in song as we make a joyful sound in proclaiming God's love.   

 

Psalm 150 is our adult praise team that provides music during our 9:00 worship service every Sunday.  This band is open to vocalists and instrumentalists.  We rehearse Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. 

 

Our main focus is to prepare contemporary praise music for Sunday morning worship.  We also take advantage of the occasional opportunity for ministry outreach in our community. 

 

This group requires committed participation, but the reward is great when we are so involved with the worship experience.

 

 

Anthem Choir is open to everyone 7th grade through adult.  No auditions are necessary.  We rehearse Tuesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:30 pm. 

 
We sing a mix of traditional and contemporary Sacred music offerings two to three Sundays per month.

 

The Christmas and Easter seasons are our busy times as we prepare our seasonal musical programs.

 

Exodus is our youth praise team.  This group gathers three to four times per year and prepares fresh, youthful praise music at our 9:00 and 10:30 am worship services.

 

Open to all youth, 7th through 12th grade.

 

 

 

 

GloryFire is our Dixiland band open to all ages.  This group is made up of a mix of wind and brass instruments, banjos, fiddles, and vocalists.  Musical reading is a must.  We have a lot of fun with this "feel good" music.  We meet three to four times a year.
